With the harmonica for Europe and Notre-Dame

Surprise at the plenary session of the EU Parliament. On Thursday, the Slovenian MEP Alojz Peterle attacks suddenly on the harmonica.

He devotes his short concert for the reconstruction of the Notre-Dame and the peace. With "Ode to joy". The piece comes from the ninth Symphony by Ludwig van Beethoven. The main theme of the last movement is used as the European anthem of the EU and of the Council of Europe.

Before Alojz Peterle played the European anthem, he called for European cohesion and the reconstruction of Notre-Dame. And he wished all a happy Easter. Peterle is a member of the conservative EPP group. From 1990 to 1992, the 70-Year-old is the first Prime Minister in independent Slovenia.
