Thousands of Catalans protest in Madrid
In the Spanish capital Madrid today, thousands of Catalans on the street come. They demand the release of the Catalan separatists, against which a process is running.

According to the police summoned 18,000 people. They were dressed in the Catalan colors yellow, red and blue and walked behind a banner with the words: “Self-determination is not a crime”. There were also pictures of the twelve separatist leaders who are accused of carrying and their release was demanded.

It was the first time that the protests against the process outside Catalonia took place. Protestors travelled en masse by train and with 500 afgehuurde buses to the capital. The police had hundreds of agents deployed to keep order.
