South African black rand university researchers have scanned more than 20 years ago, found the fossil skeleton of the head.
Head to hear ”Little Footille”, which is one of the oldest discovered Australopithecus-the genus of representatives. About 3.6 million years ago lived a Little Foot dug the cave to Johannesburg near the end of the 90s.
Australopithecus is an ape of the family, who lived about 4-2 million years ago. Species of the genus are believed to be modern human ancestors. Just a Little Footi thanks to the researchers found that family representatives will walk the modern way on two feet.
closer to the common ancestorthe researchers reconstructed the skull to the inner part of the brain that marks left by a computer scanning with the help of, and found it to differ from other surveyed Australopithecuksista.
Paloentologi Amélie Beaudet told me, that the brain is closer to what one would expect humans and chimps from a common ancestor. The reason for this is probably that Little Foot is his family representatives from the oldest to get.
the Brain's visual cortex is larger than modern humans. The brain is asymmetrical, which suggests that the brain halves were responsible for the different tasks. This means that the trait evolved very early apes in the family.
studies the results are going to be published soon in the Journal of Human Evolution journal.
