Konsertrecension: Wiz Khalifa fits perfectly on Gröna Lund

the Temperature is at a plusgrad, it's windy, it's raining, for a while it snows. I stand on a terrace and huttrar. Is this the ”Game of thrones”, I am a member of the Night's watchmen on the wall in the north? No, it is just the beginning of a concert at the Gröna Lund with the american rapper Wiz Khalifa, an unusually obnoxious majkväll. How will this go?

if you Want to be a bully, can you describe Wiz Khalifas music beer pong-rap. It is better to describe it as feelgood-rap. It is totally harmless, single-minded and impersonal, sure, but it is sincere in its title: to make people dance, smile and trolley. A soundtrack to getting drunk and high, though not in a dark and derailed way, but in a socially and merrily way, nights that always ends up with you go to sleep in a comfortable bed.

and he has been a dedicated seller of it in over ten years. He was one of the first hiphopartisterna who understood that in today's music industry, money is in the concerts – to drop discs is certainly important, but a new album is more to consider as the pr of a tour than a heavy source of income in itself.

Had it been a younger and more spoiled rapper then had the concert been over after a few songs

Wiz Khalifa takes his job seriously. ”Work hard, play hard” raps he in the single of the same name, but since many years back, it is more work than play that dominates for him. I have seen him young and charming at Way Out West 2011, I have seen him halvinspirerad at the Store a couple of years later and now I see him conduct a concert at which he freezes my ass off. He is waiting in absolutely the longest before he embarks on the scene – the first song ”Black and yellow” manage to keep on a good while without he is seen to – and in the beginning of the concert, he has a hand in the pocket to hold the heat, and switches, and then which hand is forced to hold in the microphone.

Had it been a younger and more spoiled rapper then had the concert been over after a few songs. But Wiz Khalifa is running on in an hour and deliver a proper set. ”I'm ’bout my check, for real,” raps he in the ”Fr-fr”, and ”No pain, no gain” raps, he ”Sucker for pain” a bit later – it is perhaps not his most enjoyable concert, but it is just to hack in and be professional, he seems to think. And the audience dancing. I, most to keep me warm, but some songs are heavy, catchy, really, as ”KK” and ”Taylor gang”.

the Concert ends with the ultrapoppiga hit songs ”Young, wild & free” and ”See you again” which has more cotton candy than the base. Not great, but pretty perfect for Gröna Lund.
